AR/VR is the future

We were with those who were at the very origins of the creation of augmented reality technology

Apple Inc. had just begun to develop AR technologies and their groundwork was visible to us even then. With the development of new high-speed communication technologies such as 5G, more and more opportunities to realize the full potential of this AR technology.

For a big breakthrough in augmented reality technology, in my opinion, all that is needed is high-speed communication with a large share of coverage, at least in all major cities. After all, 5G technology can even recharge wearable low-power devices that can reproduce received information from the data center. Also, recently we have seen the development of ARM chips that can consume less energy and show good performance.

It turns out that almost everything is ready for the launch of a truly fantastic AR ecosystem, as we could see in the series “Black Mirror”, and I think that this will be inevitable.

The potential of this technology can be so vast that we will not even have time to notice how we will start using augmented reality everywhere we can. From education, industry and medicine to all possible entertainment.

Let's not forget that every big leap in the development of such a large-scale technology, which we are seeing now, will lead to even higher loads on the networks. Data centers will increase, the amount of memory will be many times greater than now, and this will again heat our planet.

Soon new applications will appear that will replace modern popular social networks, just as it was before when we switched from 3G technology to LTE technology. A new generation of applications will specialize in providing us with new content, more modern, with augmented reality.
